Thoughts off the Glass

2015 Lent Day 11

Today’s Readings

If you have kids, you have no doubt been subject to the magazine, christmas wrapping, cookie dough, popcorn and numerous other sales.   But who usually buys these?  Parents, Aunts, Uncles, friends, neighbors and occasionally you may camp out in front a store or on a street corner.   In other words, we keep hitting up the same people and we wonder why we don’t get better results.   It’s not that it’s bad about asking the same people over and over.   But do we wonder why they do not always respond the way we want.

Jesus tell us to love our enemies.  We think of our enemies as those who are against us, not with us.  Sometimes our enemies are within our own group of friends.  We all have irritated our friends or visa-versa.    And we are told to love and pray for our enemies, our friends, our families.
